My experience:

I had some trouble first signing into this product. It said I need to have certain number of ports open or free. As I was also using other voip softwares and they were occupying the ports I had to shut them off. You need a stable internet connection. The functionalities are easy to use. Any body can get hold of this adphone. With premium credits you can make calls just anywhere in the world instantly. With free calls it take sometime to connect. Overall it’s good to give it a try.

Call IT , a company from denmark is providing some new voip products recently. They they are offering only limited number of services but they can be taken as a good alternative of betamax softwares for paid subscription of free or cheap international calls over internet. Their products are

Adphone is a voip software just like globe 7. it provides users with free calls, sms and video calls and other various services. This is the main product of Call IT.

Autodialer provides auto answering machine and speed dialing to a lot of numbers a short time. It is helpful for internet marketers and advertisers.

Call2dial is not yet up, so not enough info found about it.These products supply various numbers of services and are quite stable.
Call IT is concentrating more on the quality then the quantity of service. We have to see when they can get the demo up and running in their website. If it can provide good quality with it’s adphone feature then it can truly become a great alternative to betamax products. The products of this company have good potential for sure.

I installed the yahoo widget manager. You can use the callwave sms widget with any widget manager. But I am not sure whether there is opportunity to use manual proxy.

Steps:

1.Install yahoo widget manager from HERE or MIRROR , if you dl from the mirror dl within 24 hrs. Because rs.com direct link will expire withing 24hrs.(yahoo widget manager included)and open sms widget.( you can install and use yahoo widget manager if you don’t have any widget manger)

2.After installation if you are prompt to update don’t do that.

3.Rightclick on the icon of the task bar and go to preference.

4. Go to HERE and copy the address of a working ip. But don’t get upset if you don’t get things working. A larger number of ips don’t work so you have to find the right ip . sure there are many of them.

5.put the ip add into the Manual proxy section of preference. then save it. Sometimes changing here won’t work but changing internet explorer’s proxy would work.so just change the proxy of internet explorer. You can use hideip platinum to change your proxy too.

Here you go J you can send 5 more sms. Just go through process from step 3 again when the widget says “You have reached today’s limit.”

Justvoip is another affluent service of Betamax. Like many other betamax products it has really cheap and flexible voip rates for worldwide. It also covers a lot of destinations for free. The best thing about this new service is that you can also try out the free webcalling method just like jajah from their site. . The reason why I am calling it new service because this time the service really works quick and fast from the web.You can test call to and from any free destinations.You might have some problems signing up with them if you are currently using any betamax products but go to my other posts and use the hacks there to solve that problem : voipcheap, lowratevoip, webcalldirect, voipbuster.

With justvoip you can also send sms and use call id. My suggestion is use this software just to get the free times each time you have a new betamax product. That’s the main thing.Otherwise all the free calling softwares of betamax and their functions are same but their calling rate and free destination are different. So thing not once, thrice before you plan to get a paid subscription.

I made calls to usa and cananda , honestly the voice quality is really good. You just download the callwave sms/text message widget and install it with any platform such as - apple widget, yahoo widget, google gadget, vista gadget. You can send unlimited number of sms/text message to USA/Canada for free. But you can send only 5 sms/text message to other countries of the world. This is the restriction that they have applied recently. At the latest version you can’t send sms/text message to a lot of places because callwave blocked sms/text message through or from those countries.

Raketu is a free software provided by raketu inc which enables free calls to 42 destintaoins arround the world. It also has iptv, IM feature and stock details etc.

The service has been there for quite a while. Rakout recently launched it’s Spanish and Japanese version of Voip software. Now it’s letting people make free calls to 42 destinations just after you sign up into their dialer program and accept the agreement and add some credit. Then you will able to make free calls. Your credit will only reduce if you call destinations other than free. I signed up for them and then signed into the dialer , when I accepted the TOC it said now you can make free calls. But when I tried to place a call it just didn’t get connected! May be it’s because of my isp, as they are having some problems recently. I would only recommend this to people who are willing to pay free bucks and use regularly.

There serivce seems not to 100%.it lacked speed.i am not sure whether it’s because of my net speed. But it wasn’t as fast as other dialers.But it’s a good choice for people who are looking for all in one solutions of -iptv ,chatting and talking. It doesn’t use supernodes like skype or other services so it’s not vanurable to hacking. You can use it 100% safely.

Mondotalk offering 100$ calling credit competition

Mondotalk is a new voip provider who is offering their new dialer to make calls at a very cheap rate. They are also offering call forwarding and voice mails. You have to download their dialer and add some credit before you get to call some free destinations.This service seems more preferred for business rather than people who are students who want to make some quick free calls back home. The voice quality is really- really good. The dialer and website interface also looks nice. But thing that you have to add some credits first before getting those free credits to call free destinations is really something they should think about again. Besides all their service is still not 100% up so making people pay before even offering 100% is not an intelligent thing do .BUT…….

Recently they are offering a promotional competition for new or old registered users. They are sending mails and telling people to spread their service. If you are a sign up member you will get this mail. There will be a download link. You will have to send this download links to other people. If they sign up and you start talking to them using mondotalk you might just get 100$ credit to use with mondotalk. You need to do the following things to get into the competition of getting 100$ credit with mondotalk:

Webcalldirect is another betamax voip software. It has got all the same facilities like other betamax products. I used started using it from couple of days ago.It’s a really handy tool.Webcalldirect offers free calls to free destinations (as listed in the pic) and also free limited sms to all over the world.

My experience:

Compared to other betamax products that I used the voice quality of this one is far more better.It lags less and connects fast. The best thing about it is this soft uses less memory usage. Other betamax products like voipcheap, lowratevoip used to make my cpu usage very high. But webcalldirect doesn’t have this prob.

Webcalldirect also prompted me to upgrade to a new version just after I installed. Actually this lets betamax indentify whether you used their other softwares before. JUST AVOID THAT. And you can get make unlimited accounts and make free calls and sms.

Gizmocall Trick for making free calls

Gizmocall.com offers free calling from website. They use flash to make free calls. Couple of weeks ago they limited the period of free calling time to 3 minutes per call and 10 minutes per day. But you can try to following steps to get free extra time out of them.

Trick 1: if you got 2 operating systems in your pc then you can use this trick. Install the flash plug-in with 2 operating system and make free 10 and 10 total 20 minutes calls with gizmocall.

Trick 2: Disconnect your calls just before your free 10 min calling time ends. It’s will resume you calling credit back to 5 minutes

Trick 3: Use a anonymous proxy and browse through gizmocall , uninstall the flash plug-in and install new one and make free calls worldwide

Trick 4: Delete the files in the files inside the following folder {C:\Documents and Settings\user\Application Data\Macromedia\Flash Player\#SharedObjects\48E99ACV\www.gizmocall.com}

Lowratevoip.com is one of the betamax products which you can use to make free calls and free sms to a large number of free destinations. It’s calling plans are really cheap. The best thing about this software is you can call many destinations for free! But before you go along with the payment I would highly suggest all to give a look at their rates and free destinations. They use to offer free incoming number but suddenly they turned that feature off without any notice to paid customers .As I look forward to free calling softwares I will talk about the free calling feature of Lowratevoip

Benefits:
• Free calls to free destinations worldwide.
• Easy and fast dialing.
• Free sms to anywhere in the world(limited number of sms can be sent)
• The dialer is really good with sound notification

Bad points:
• Voice quality is not as good as MediaringTalk
• Takes up a lot of Bandwidth(so dialup connections lag)
• Limited free calling time
• Takes up a lot of Cpu memory usage

If you are a new subscriber you can just download the lowratevoip software and create a new account and start making free calls and sms to specific destinations.

Trick to make free calls: {For users who already installed lowratevoip but can’t create a new id to make more free calls}

I installed other voip softwares from betamax previously. After installing 2-3 softwares I started getting and error “can’t create a new account :@” So it was impossible to make new accounts and make free calls. After a long time I made another try with this software and it worked. I managed to install and create a free account and made free calls.

Note : Please avoid the new version of Lowratevoip and download the old one from HERE

Before installing:
1. go to C:\Documents and Settings\admin\Application Data(this file is usually hidden so unhide it from { Tools>folder options>view}
2. Inside the application data folder you will see lowratevoip folder.
3. Inside that folder you will find History_account id.dat.
4. Delete that file directly by pressing Shift+Del
5. Also delete the folder
6. Before installing clear all your cookies and restart your computer
7. After performing the previous steps accordingly install the old version from my post
8. Create new account with unique email add(this mail add hasn’t been used with any betamax softs previously)

Funny thing:
As I signed up with lowratevoip.com they sent me a mail telling that I can only make 1 min calls to any free destinations. I made a call to USA and kept the line open for more than more minutes than that as you can see in the picture.

Important thing:
After installing lowratevoip.com a message will prompt up telling to update the soft. Don’t do it . I repeat don’t update the soft. Cause I think betamax traces how many free calls you have made with this updates.

After using the soft and if anytime it says your free calling period is over than just go through steps again to re-install and make free calls and sms.

Gizmocall is providing web-based calling service to any destination around the world for free. It's a flashbased site. You can call anywhere just anywhere everyday for a limited period of time.

Things to make free calls:

download & install the flash plug-in
go to their website again
enter number and start talking

Limitations:

All calls are limited to 3 mins
you can make 10 mins of call per day

Good points:

Bad points:
Voice lags if you have slow net connection

My exprience:
I used gizmocall to make calls to india and bangladesh. Both times the call got connected. But i noticed that if you disconnect at 10 sec , you call will be counted as 1 min. So i suggest to make the full out of it.I will post some tricks that I am trying now with gizmocall. I will post late about that if that works out.

MediaringTalk dialpad problem

MediaringTalk is now the most hotest product availle on the net. It lets users make free calls to 7-8 destinations including USA,UK,Australia,China,Hongkong and singapore. Previously i posted about MediaringTalk.You can get it here. It's now offering free calls only for a limited period of time. So hurry and get a Mediaringtalk account.
I signed up couple of days back and have been using this regularly.It's voice quality is awesome.And it also connects real fast.

Dialpad Problem: But it's dialer's dialpad has got a problem. When i make calls i just paste the whole phone number at a time. But many calls need pressing specific numbers later on to get to certain division. Like if you call a university , you need to press 1 to get to student support.Sometimes pressing 1 on dialer works but most of the time it doesn't. As it doesn't make noise after pressing buttons like other dialer , so you can't even understand how many digits have been accepted.

I looked for this problem on the internet. But didn't find any response.Hope MediaringTalk will fix this problem soon and enable sound with pressing of button in dialer.

Jajah is also providing free calling to and from limited destinations . It is a web based calling service you can make free calls from the specified zone to zone. But as jajah identifies your ip address and blocks you from making free calls to other free destinations you can use proxy or go to jajah.com through any anonymous browsing site- here or use highly anonymous proxy-here or (google for it).You can also use torpark with mozila firefox to surf anonymously. Then jajah can’t detect, you are from somewhere else than free zone.

The trick: once you manage to get into jajah’s website as a free zone user then follow the following steps:

Put your US based number of Globe7 as your number
Put your destination’s number
Click call

Voipcheap.com is one of many voip software service provided by betamax (a voip company of switzerland). Voipcheap.com has got the same user interface as other betamax voip softwares. But it has a huge number of free calling destination. You can call to specific destinations for free and also send free sms world wide for limited time. After that a message will come up showing " You have not free calling time left"
This is actually a new method that betamax used.
Previously if you have signedup from any not free destinations , you could still make free calls to free destitations unlimited times. The line might get disconnected sometime automatically. Yesterday i tried Voipcheap.com and tried to place somecalls to Canada. The call got connected but the voip quality was very poor. It may be caused by my net connection but i've used voipcheap.com before and it was better.

Crickee is a free web-based sms service provider which lets you send free sms from internet to wap or internet enabled mobile phones. First you have to sign up using your real mobile number and they will send you a verification code to your mobile or cell number. After activating the account with the verification code you can add your contacts in your "Tribe".
It’s an advertisement supported service. You can send as much sms as you want . But don’t send to many sms at a particular number as it might be considered as spam.

I signed up but first I didn’t accept any message from them so I rechecked again . They sent me a verification code through sms immediately. I sent two sms and they reached quite fast. The group sms feature is cool too. I also sent a picture sms that helped but as you know you need multimedia supported mobile phones.The sms are in direct format. They arrive with your user name. So becareful if you want to send prank sms cause TextHQ already got your real mobile number!
I would say this is a realiable service.
The best thing : sms arrives in direct format (not like others where you need to sign into their service and have a wap connection too.
Worst thing: it’s not totally free. You get very limited credits.
